Overview
Nogdok Vëk Med was founded durring the early 13th century in spring of the year 1218, by Tseibnaer Dhiangul. The establishment of Nogdok Vëk Med was plagued by a lack of willing colonists. After attempts to pay people to resettle failed Tseibnaer Dhiangul struck deals with nearby nations and communities to establish Nogdok Vëk Med as a prison colony.
Nogdok Vëk Med was built using the conventions of Wood Elven durring the early 13th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Nogdok Vëk Med is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature timber framed wooden shiethed or brick construction, which gives form to a very formalized, rational, expence effishent arcatectural style based on strictly symmetrical designs which universaly feature pitched roofs, shutters, and the occasional column or pilaster for a decorative touch.
Nogdok Vëk Med is buildings are located arround a single restrictive gravel mainstreet which forms a clockwise spiral to give the city a over all circular shape. The city rests behind the absurdity that is a thick, timber braced, wall made of clay bricks. While visualy impressive and certainly an astetic, Nogdok Vëk Med's wall provides no actual defence against siege equipment due to the choice of its cosntruction materials. Even nonexperts can tell the town is trying to impress rather than defend with its walls, towers, and gatehouses. Though admittedly, they do look nice... To primitive tribals who have never seen fortifications before. The city's political statment focused walls have recently undergone extensive repairs and renovations, such that the repairwork is imeadiently apparent and can be spotted due to the diffring ages of materials. One can't help but wonder what brought the need for those repairs to the city.
The first thing you notice about Nogdok Vëk Med is the large sign at the entrance welcoming you to their humble city. Children come up to you and say hi, some asking if you’ve fought any big monsters, and others just zipping away after their hello. The adults are much the same. By the time you’ve made it a significant way into the town you’ve been invited to a tavern for a pint to drink in exchange for news of the world. You’ve also had no less than three older women give you a sweetroll and direct your attention to their still unmarried children. It would be creepy if it wasn't so sincere.
